Opening packs is more enjoyable when storage is already prepared. A few minutes of organisation prevent new cards, duplicates and priority keeps from becoming one mixed pile.
Prepare the table
Choose a clean, dry surface. Keep sleeves and a storage box within reach and move drinks and food away. Open packaging without using a blade close to the cards.
Sort carefully
Create piles by set and reserve a space for cards you want to keep. Check collector number and finish before labelling something a duplicate: visually similar cards may be different versions.
Finish the session
Update your checklist before putting cards away. Decide how many boosters to open in advance and keep that limit even if your favourite card does not appear. For Japanese products, consult the exact booster listing because stated contents can differ from French-language products.
