The Digimon Card Game Evolution Cup 2026 Vol. 3 is running throughout October. Bandai’s official event page lists an event window of 1–31 October 2026, with local stores selecting their own date inside that period. For players in France and elsewhere in Europe, the important first step is therefore not to assume that every shop is participating: search the official platform, then confirm the timetable with the organiser.
What format is the October Evolution Cup?
Bandai describes Vol. 3 as an offline, singles, Constructed event played in Swiss rounds. There is no Top Cut. Matches are best-of-three, with 55 minutes plus five minutes of overtime. That structure rewards more than a fast first game: players should know their lines well enough to play accurately across a full match and manage the clock without rushing.
The official rewards shown for this volume are one alternate-art BT24-007 Tsunomon for participation, one alternate-art BT24-051 Merukimon for the Top 4 and one alternate-art BT24-041 Minervamon for the winner. Bandai notes that schedules can change, so the local store remains the final source for its date, capacity and practical arrangements.
How to find an event and register
Registration is handled through Bandai TCG+. Select Digimon Card Game, then search for the exact keyword DIGIMON CARD GAME Evolution Cup 2026 Vol. 3. The official event page states that all regions are available in TCG+, but that does not guarantee an event in every city.
- Set the correct country or region in TCG+.
- Check the shop address, date, start time and player cap.
- Apply through TCG+ before travelling.
- Contact the shop if the listing does not explain check-in, entry fee or deck-list requirements.
If you are still looking for a nearby community, our guide to finding TCG events in France gives you a broader checklist for store locators, organisers and local communities.
Prepare the deck, not just the cards
Before the event, compare your list with the current official rules and any restriction notices linked by the organiser. The current Digimon rules framework uses a main deck of exactly 50 cards, with up to four copies of the same card number, plus an optional Digi-Egg deck of up to five cards. Tournament eligibility can add regional or event-specific conditions, so do not treat a casual list as automatically legal.
For a best-of-three Swiss event, practical preparation matters. Sleeve every card consistently, bring any tokens required by your cards, make sure your memory gauge is easy for both players to read and practise a few complete matches with a timer. Also save your TCG+ registration confirmation and arrive early enough for check-in.
A competitive event that is still approachable
An Evolution Cup is a stronger competitive step than an ordinary casual evening, but its store-level format makes it a useful first structured Digimon tournament. The best objective for a first attempt is simple: submit a legal list, finish every round, learn how Swiss pairings and timed matches feel, and note the decisions you want to review afterwards.
