A good game often begins with a short conversation. Saying that a deck is “average” tells other players very little. Describe how it works and what you want from the game instead.
Give concrete examples
Can your deck win very early? Does it use infinite combinations, frequent tutors or substantial acceleration? These details help others choose a suitable deck without requiring you to reveal every card.
Agree on the experience
Ask whether the table mainly wants to discover cards, test a build or play a demanding game. None of these goals is wrong; mismatched expectations cause much of the frustration. Consult current official format guidance as well.
Afterwards
Discuss a specific moment rather than accusing someone of having an excessively strong deck. You can suggest another list, agree to remove a few cards or find a different power group. Clearly identified decks in distinct sleeves make the next meeting easier to prepare.
