Reality Fracture Draft is easier to enter when you know what each colour pair is trying to advertise. Wizards' prerelease guide names ten two-colour archetypes. They are best used as signposts rather than rigid recipes: your final deck still depends on the cards you actually see.
The ten official colour-pair signposts
- White–Blue: Fatehold Surveil Aggro.
- Blue–Black: Theorix Graveyard Math.
- Black–Red: Stingerquill Face Burn.
- Red–Green: Konstrari Mana Ramp.
- Green–White: Vigorbloom Life Gain.
- White–Black: Liliana's Attrition.
- Blue–Red: Chandra's Prowess.
- Black–Green: Garruk's Bestiary.
- Red–White: Ajani's Army.
- Green–Blue: Jace's Mastery.
Use the names as questions, not conclusions
A label such as “Mana Ramp” or “Prowess” tells you what kind of cards may work together, but it does not mean every card in those colours belongs in the deck. During the first picks, prioritise individually useful cards and efficient interaction. Once you see repeated signals, the archetype name becomes a checklist: do you have enough enablers, enough payoffs and a sensible curve?
Watch the curve while you draft
A synergistic deck that cannot affect the board until turn four can still lose to a simpler build. Count your early plays while drafting, not after the last pack. In aggressive pairs, ask whether you can pressure life totals consistently. In slower pairs, ask whether your early cards buy enough time for the plan to matter.
Do not force a favourite pair from pick one
Reality Fracture's mirrored themes make some archetypes especially tempting on paper, but open seats reward flexibility. If the cards for your intended lane stop arriving, move toward what the table is giving you. A coherent deck in an unexpected pair is usually more useful than a half-finished version of the archetype you wanted before the draft began.
