Graded or raw cards: choose for the way you collect

A card intended for a deck and a piece intended for display serve different purposes. Choosing a graded or ungraded copy starts with its intended use.

For playing or binder storage

An ungraded card can go into suitable protection and join a deck where legal. Its condition requires careful examination. Photographs, description and exact identification remain important.

For displaying a collection piece

A graded card is identified in a holder by a grading company. Read the company's name, grade and label details. At Moxcards, PG means Pure Grading: PG10 refers to that company's assessment and should not automatically be treated as equivalent to another company's scale.

Compare the whole item

Look at the card, the holder's condition and available photographs. A grade does not replace your preference for a particular illustration or language. Choose a copy that suits your collection rather than a resale promise.
